Firstly, if you wish to modify your car with aftermarket accessories, we suggest that you do it keeping in mind that your car's warranty will be voided. In our experience, if your 4s center wants to void your warranty, there are 100 reasons for them to do so. Changing your rims could void your warranty. so it largely depends on your 4S center Secondly, there are different warranties for different parts of your car. For example engine warranty, gearbox warranty, accessories warranty, etc. Even if you void your accessories warranty, it will not affect your engine or your gearbox warranty If you want to modify your car with aftermarket accessories & yet still want to keep your warranty, we suggest you do it after your warranty period is over. if you want to modify, dont be scared. If you want to keep your warranty, dont modify your car. Disclaimer: most 4's service centers will advice you to go back to the shop you got your accessories installed to get it removed before they take pictures & send it up to their HQ to do the claim, but this is in our experience, this is a very grey area and whether your warranty is voided really depends on the 4s center you are doing your servicing at. PNP SOCKET Pros: Safest & the easiest way (technicians dont need to poke around your socket to find the eletricity they need for your accessory) Cons: Higher cost (sockets may cost upwards of rm30-50) No stock (we may not have your car's socket in stock) Suggestions: Use PNP socket if our shop has it in stock LOOPING Looping is the quickest, most direct way of getting the eletricity required to power your aftermarket LED related products. It includes us peeling away the wire insulation of your original wiring & then securely looping our wires to your original car wiring before insulating it Pros: Most efficent way Low cost Secure (wires installed wont break off easily) Cons: May damage or short circuit your original wiring (if done unprofessionally) MAY void warranty (for cars still under warranty) Suggestions: Use looping method for cars over warranty period PIN TAPPING Pin tapping can be done if the wiring kit of your accessories comes with pin. it is done by plugging the pin into your car's socket, eliminating the risk of touching your original wires totally. Once the pin is plugged in, black tapes & cable ties are used to futher secure the pin to reduce the risk of the pins falling out. Pros: Most efficent way Low cost No risk of touching original wiring loom Cons: Not as secure. (pins may fall out or get broken even if we cabletie/tape it securely)(not a big problem, just that you'll need to come back to get it sorted) Suggestions: Use pin tapping method at your own discretion Suitable for newer cars still under warranty
